When someone mentions bravery I think of knights and swords clanging. I don’t think of healthcare workers, truckers or grocery store employees. Until now. COVID has redefined bravery.
I Am In Control Day occurred when Maryland issued a stay at home order due to COVID. It was a day that no one felt like they were in control of anything. The key is finding what we can control and letting go of all of the other things that we can’t.
Smoke and Mirrors Day celebrates the magic in the world. I didn’t know that was a thing, but now I know, I like it. It should be celebrated all of the time. Magic makes the world go round.

The stories of victims are minimized in many ways in our society. It is the reason many people don’t come forward. I had front row seats to one of those times and it disgusted me.
