Change is Hard
Change is scary, especially for someone like me, with complex PTSD and all that. I have gone back and forth on some changes for my blog. And the direction that I want to go with it.
I have been pressuring myself to move forward, which only ended up paralyzing me: analysis paralysis and all of that stuff. And then the universe nudged me.
And this is the news that I bring you today. Change is bringing new and great ideas for my blog. First and foremost, a new name – Daily Superheroism.
Why Daily Superheroism?
Why Daily Superheroism? Because in part, I have realized that I, and so many others, are superheroes. Thinking of myself as a superhero has helped me work through some of the more challenging things in my life, like being an alcoholic. Not drinking is a herculean (superhero, anyone?) effort for me, especially initially, but I push against that need to drink even now.
Daily Can Be Difficult
Being a superhero can be applied to any task. For me, that can include what others consider the simplest of tasks, like getting out of bed in the morning, going to the grocery store, etc. To do those things, I remind myself that I am superhero strong. I can do it. And I, like so many others, do that daily.
The Ism is the Key
I work on my mind health every day. It is a process and daily practice of teaching myself differently, better ways to think about the world around me.
All Together Now
I brought all of those ideas together to finalize the Daily Superheroism website. And to take that leap to move forward with that decision. It may take about a week to get things back up and running under the new site.
There are other cool things that I am working on, such as a podcast (EEK!), swag (double EEK!), and a few other surprises. I will be having fun (hopefully, you enjoy my fun ideas) while getting the complex stuff worked through. Hey, it’s what life is all about, right?
